1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Tools by Atharva and the services available through:
- https://tools.atharva.info
- https://webtools.atharva.info
Both hostnames may provide access to the same browser-based application.
2. Local file processing
Tools by Atharva is designed so that files selected for ordinary processing operations are handled locally using browser technologies such as JavaScript, WebAssembly, Canvas, Web Audio, File and Blob APIs and related web-platform features.
Ordinary file-processing tools do not require an application-server upload of the file being processed.
Depending on the tool, your browser may temporarily decode, render, transform or hold your file in memory while the requested operation is performed.
3. Files we do not intentionally collect
Tools by Atharva does not intentionally collect or retain copies of files processed through ordinary local tools, including:
- images and photographs;
- PDF documents;
- audio and video files;
- GIF files;
- collage photographs;
- documents submitted to conversion or OCR tools;
- signatures placed into locally processed documents; and
- locally generated outputs.
4. Temporary browser memory
Local processing may require the browser to temporarily hold information in memory.
Working data is intended to disappear when the relevant page, browser tab or browser session is closed or refreshed, subject to normal browser and operating-system behaviour.
Files that you explicitly download are stored in a location controlled by your browser or operating system.
5. Persistent browser storage
The Tools by Atharva application is designed not to intentionally persist ordinary tool inputs or outputs using application Local Storage, Session Storage, cookies or application databases.
Browsers may independently maintain HTTP caches, download histories or other browser-managed information. Browser extensions and other software installed on your device may also operate independently of Tools by Atharva.
6. OCR processing
Optical character recognition may use browser-side OCR software. The application is configured to avoid intentionally retaining OCR working data as application content after processing.
OCR results may contain sensitive text if you process a sensitive document. You are responsible for handling copied or downloaded OCR results appropriately.
7. Microphone access
Recording tools may request access to your microphone. Access is requested through the browser's permission system when you choose to use a recording feature.
You may refuse or revoke microphone permission through your browser or operating-system settings.
Browser-recorded audio is intended to remain local unless you independently choose to send or upload the resulting file elsewhere.
8. External data tools
A small number of tools inherently require current information from an external provider.
Currency information
A currency-conversion tool may contact a third-party exchange-rate service after you request a conversion.
IP information
An IP-information tool may contact a third-party IP-information provider after you initiate the lookup.
These network requests are separate from file-processing tools. A locally selected image, PDF, audio file or other document is not intentionally attached to these lookup requests.
9. Third-party processing libraries
Some specialised tools may require JavaScript, WebAssembly, worker files, codec components, OCR resources or other software distributed through third-party content-delivery services.
Requests for those resources may reveal ordinary network metadata to the resource provider, such as your IP address, browser information and the requested resource.
Tools by Atharva does not intentionally attach the content of the file you are processing to a dependency-download request.
10. Infrastructure information
Like virtually all websites, our hosting, reverse-proxy, CDN, DNS and security infrastructure may process ordinary technical information required to deliver and secure the website.
This can include:
- IP address;
- date and time of a request;
- requested hostname and URL;
- HTTP method and response status;
- browser or user-agent information;
- TLS and network information; and
- information associated with abusive or malicious traffic.
Such infrastructure metadata is different from the contents of a file processed locally through a browser tool.
11. Cloudflare
Tools by Atharva may use Cloudflare for services such as DNS, TLS, caching, reverse proxying, availability and security.
Optional browser analytics, RUM, tracking or similar injected client-side analytics are not required for operation of the Tools by Atharva application and are intended to remain disabled in production.
12. Analytics and advertising
Tools by Atharva does not intentionally include behavioural advertising SDKs or advertising trackers as part of its application functionality.
If the service later introduces analytics or another technology that materially changes the privacy practices described here, this Policy should be updated accordingly.
13. No user account required
Tools by Atharva does not currently require an account for ordinary use of its browser tools.
The application does not intentionally build a profile based on the contents of files processed through ordinary local tools.
14. Sensitive information
Local processing reduces unnecessary transfer of sensitive information, but it does not make an untrusted device secure.
When processing confidential information, consider using:
- a trusted and updated device;
- an updated browser;
- only trusted browser extensions;
- a private device rather than a shared computer;
- secure storage for downloaded results; and
- appropriate encryption where required.
15. Browser extensions and device security
Tools by Atharva cannot control browser extensions, malware, operating-system software or other applications installed on your device.
Such software may have capabilities independent of this website.
16. Children
Tools by Atharva is a general-purpose utility website and is not intentionally designed to solicit personal information from children.
Parents and guardians should supervise use where appropriate.
17. International infrastructure
Tools by Atharva is operated from India, but infrastructure, security, CDN, dependency-distribution or optional external-data providers may operate systems in multiple countries.
Ordinary network metadata associated with requests to those providers may therefore be processed outside India.
18. Information security
Security controls are intended to include HTTPS, restrictive browser security policies, local file processing, limited network connectivity, browser permission controls and the absence of an ordinary server-side file-processing backend.
No internet-connected system, browser, network or software product can guarantee absolute security.
Additional information is available in our Security & Technical Notes.
19. Your privacy rights
We intend to handle personal data for which we are responsible in accordance with applicable Indian law.
Where applicable law provides rights relating to personal data, you may contact us regarding a relevant request or grievance.
Because ordinary tool files are designed not to be stored by the application server, in many cases there will be no server-side copy of a processed file for us to retrieve or delete.
20. Legal and security requirements
We may preserve or process information that is actually available to us where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, lawful legal process, court orders, regulatory requirements, cyber-security obligations or to protect the service from abuse.
21. Security incidents
If a security incident affects personal information for which Tools by Atharva is responsible, we will assess and respond to the incident in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
22. Third-party websites
Links to or requests involving independent third-party services are subject to those parties' own privacy policies and terms.
Tools by Atharva is not responsible for the privacy practices of an independent third party.
23. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the application, infrastructure, external services or applicable legal requirements change.
The date at the top of this page identifies the latest published revision.

25. Governing law and jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory provisions of applicable law.
